Backgrounds are a type of NFT that replaces the default Golem Overlord background. You can equip a background NFT from your inventory. Some backgrounds are purely cosmetic, and others provide a shard claim multiplier depending on the rarity.

How to Get Background NFTs[]
Background NFTs are available in certain crates, special promotions, as rewards from daily quests, and can be purchased from other players on the market.

Claim Bonuses[]
Depending on the edition and rarity, some backgrounds have claim bonuses that increase the amount of shard tokens claimed.
